Born in SE MN, Kathy spent her childhood in a home with a gifted brother and amazing parents. She learned the value of family, creativity, hard work, faith and a love of learning. These valuable life lessons produced in her a passion to serve others which has been a part of her entire life journey. Some of Kathy’s areas of expertise include: leadership development, team building, executive coaching, strengthened communication, strategic planning and goal setting.
Kathy’s unique experiences as a bestselling author, small business owner, entrepreneur, and Fortune 500 manager have truly allowed her to understand many perspectives. She believes that every person has unique gifts and potential. It is her goal to give others the courage to grow, lead and serve.
A bestselling author, Kathy graduated from college in 3 years with a Business Degree. During those years she also married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life (35 years and counting!).
After college, Kathy was employed in the Group Division of a Fortune 500 insurance company, moving quickly up the ranks to management. While there, some of her responsibilities included: underwriting, product development, operations analysis, leading the Customer Survey Team, serving on the Incentives and Compensation Committee, coordinating the development of a Client Access project, serving as a Group Division Customer Service Trainer and Group Vision Facilitator, creating a Division Liaison Program, serving as Publisher of the Group Division newsletter, expanding the STAR Recognition program, and developing a Customer Showcase Program.
After 5 years in corporate America, Kathy made a personal decision to change her life direction. A beautiful and talented daughter was born two years later. Since then many new opportunities have come:
